Mallorie Court, Ripon
A bungalow stripped back to its walls and rebuilt as an open, light single storey home.
- Type
- Full rebuild and remodel
- Includes
- Vaulted glazed gable, two bathrooms, heat pump

Ripon is about 20 minutes from our yard, and our Mallorie Court rebuild is here.
At Mallorie Court we took a bungalow back to its walls and rebuilt it with a vaulted glazed gable, new bathrooms and a heat pump, with a resin driveway laid by our Daltex approved partner.
Before Barlow Construction, our founder worked on estate projects including Newby Hall near Ripon. The Georgian and Victorian streets around the cathedral and the stone villages out towards Fountains need that kind of experience.

A bungalow stripped back to its walls and rebuilt as an open, light single storey home.
From the Mallorie Court rebuild to stonework in the villages towards Masham, this is the work we do around Ripon.

Stone and brick extensions with slate or tiled roofs, built to suit the street and the age of the house.
Extensions
Whole house renovations where the layout changes, walls come out and the kitchen moves to where the light is.
Renovations and Kitchens

Ripon has its own character, and its own rules.
Much of the centre around the Market Square and the cathedral is a conservation area, full of listed Georgian and Victorian buildings. Work there needs the right materials and patience with the planners.
Ripon has many older bungalows on generous plots, and often they are better rebuilt and remodelled than extended, and Mallorie Court shows what that can look like.
Newby Hall, Fountains and the villages towards Masham are built in stone. Our founder's estate background is in exactly this kind of property.

Barlow Construction has helped me through a major renovation of an 1860s property, involving new suspended ceilings, new wall linings throughout, full damp proofing, new doors and lintels, a new central heating system, and new bathroom and kitchen installs. Lewis has been a pleasure to deal with throughout, and his advice and guidance have been invaluable. His onsite team show considerable depth of experience, with no dramas in dealing with the unexpected work that crops up in an old building. If only all firms were like this to deal with.
